Senior Software Engineer

Work directly with our leadership team to build new features, strengthen existing ones, and improve the stability and performance of Storepass. You’ll join a growing startup early and have a meaningful influence on both the product and the way we build it.

Compensation

$100,000 – $150,000

What you’ll do

  • Design, develop, and maintain key Storepass features using Node.js, React, Express, and MongoDB.
  • Collaborate with leadership and teammates on the product roadmap and architecture.
  • Improve scalability, performance, and security across the platform.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
  • Mentor developers as the team grows.
  • Contribute to strategic product, infrastructure, and technology decisions.

What we’re looking for

  • Four or more years of software development experience, particularly with JavaScript frameworks.
  • Proficiency with Node.js, Express, React, and MongoDB.
  • A strong understanding of REST API design.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
  • A track record of owning projects and building products from the ground up.
  • Clear communication with both technical and nontechnical teammates.
  • Comfort working independently in a fast-moving startup environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience with ecommerce platforms such as Shopify or BigCommerce.
  • Experience with Parse Platform or Docker.
  • An interest in board games and trading card games.

What you’ll do

  • Test new and updated retailer workflows across inventory, pricing, buylist, ecommerce, and point of sale.
  • Create clear bug reports with reproduction steps, screenshots, expected behavior, and customer impact.
  • Run regression checks before releases and verify fixes after engineering changes.
  • Document edge cases and common workflows so the team can ship confidently.
  • Collaborate with support and engineering on customer-reported issues.
  • Help improve our internal QA process as the product and team grow.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong attention to detail and curiosity about real-world software behavior.
  • Clear written communication and the ability to explain issues step by step.

  • Maintain organized notes on prospects, conversations, objections, and follow-up tasks.
  • Help develop outbound campaigns, messaging, and experiments.
  • Share market feedback with product, support, and leadership.
